Hatha Yoga classes

Monday mornings in St Mary’s church hall, Beverley until 25 Feb

from March 3rd The Quaker Meeting House, Quaker Lane, Woodlands, Beverley, HU17 8BY

11.30 to 1pm, £12/£6 (benefits), £50/£20 for 5 weeks.

Wednesday evenings in the village hall, Etton, near Beverley.

7 – 8.30pm, £10/£5 (benefits)

All abilities. every body very welcome

We all have our strengths and weaknesses, flexible in some parts, stiffer in others, weak in some places, strong in others. Yoga is self practice, totally non competitive. The journey is watching yourself improve – physically, mentally and emotionally. A 90 minute class enables real change and progress.

A typical class starts with relaxation and experiencing the breath into a gentle but throrough warm up. The aim is to release tension and energise the body.  We then move into more challenging practices with stages for everyone to enjoy. Towards the end of the class explore more freedom of movement and ability to stretch. We end each session with final relaxation and a short time seated.

Please bring your own mat, blanket and a cushion.

I have a health condition, can I still do yoga?

Absolutely. Yoga helps us heal. Please give me details of any conditions  (eg sciatica, IBS, insomnia) you have, in advance of class, either by contacting me or talking to me before the session begins.
